Award: Livingstone Carroll Trophy
The winner of this annual
tournament is awarded the Livingstone Carroll Trophy at the end of the year Awards Ceremony. Prizes will be awarded as ‘chits’ in the Pro
Shop to the first 3 teams.
A 2 man, better ball format
with 80% handicaps will be used to determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams with 18 holes scheduled for Saturday and 18
holes scheduled for Sunday. Each team member must be a member of the club.
Each team will be given a
score card that has ‘dots’ indicating the holes on which the member receives a
handicap stroke or strokes. Be sure to check the number and distribution of the
‘dots’ before starting the round and correct any errors with the Pro Shop
Staff. There is only

each team must ‘hole out’ on each hole. Normal rules of golf apply, so play
them as they lie.
All ties for 1st,
2nd and 3rd place will be broken by a match of cards using
the lowest handicap rated (i.e. hardest) holes. This means a sequence of
1,10,7,16,5,14,etc. The choice of using handicap holes rather than the 1,2,3,
etc sequence is based on the fact that the tournament starts in a ‘shotgun’
format and that all teams do not play the course in the same order.
Have a good time and if there are any rule questions, play out the hole and check with the golf pro as soon as you get a chance. Keep both players’ score for the hole in which the rules question arises so that a proper score may be determined after consultation with the golf pro.
