2010 Women's Interclub Invitational Tournaments

Starting Thursday June 3rd, Ending Thursday August 19th

Pro Shop Opens:  8:00 AM

Tee Times: Noon on June 3rd, 17th, & 23rd, 8:30 AM for July & August

Tournament Requirements:  All players are welcome.

 

Women members at the NCC are fortunate to have the opportunity to visit and play at neighboring clubs and enjoy the variations of our beautiful courses.

These events are designed to enjoy the company of women from other clubs and to have a great day! Each summer you have the opportunity to play at neightboring clubs in June, July & August. The historic limit of 4 guests per club has been eliminated. All players are welcome to join the tournament regardless of handicap. However, please note that no player will be given a handicap greater than 36 during an invitational tournament.

Guidelines and Etiquette for the Invitational:

FORMAT: Shamlbes Best Ball for a team of 3-4.

• Shambles: Each Player drives from each tee box, the best drive is chosen and all players play their own ball from the best drive location. Each player in a team must have at least one drive used during the play.
• Best Ball: Following the drive, each player plays their own ball. Lowest Gross Scores are recorded and Lowest Net Score is recorded for the hole.
• Mulligans. Offered for sale prior to play for use anywhere but on the greens. One allowed for each front and back nine only.

PRIZES:

• A prize for Low Gross Score and two prizes for Low Net Score are awarded to winning teams. No team may win two prizes, there will be a match of cards in the event of a tie.
• Additional prizes for competitions such as Longest Drive, Straightest Drive, and Closest to the Pin are awarded at host club's discretion.

PACE OF PLAY:

• Play is limited to 4 1/2 hours. Teams who have not submitted their scorecard after this time limit will be disqualified.
• Please refrain from keeping your personal score, as it may be necessary to pick up your ball if you are 'out of the hole'.

TRACK STROKES:

• It is appropriate to annouce the number of strokes that you lie when all teammates are on the green.
• A team leader will record all strokes for each team player and each player will have a club scorecard for reference.

HANDICAP

• A maximum handicap of 36 will be assigned to players with a USGA Index of greater than 36.
