My name is Ronnie Pfaefflin and I am your Certified PGA Golf Professional here at the Norfolk Country Club. I thank you all for the opportunity to serve you as your golf professional. I look forward to another great year.

I've played the game of golf all my life, but got into the professional end of it late in life. I worked as the lead instructor at the Golden Wings Golf School specializing in the short game, from 2002-2005. In 2006 I worked at the Green Woods Country Club in Winsted, CT as the assistant golf professional. I have been here at the NCC as head professional since 2007.

I will continue to improve the pro shop and keep it fully stocked. Please come in and take advantage of the many bargains we offer. I hope to get input from everyone as to what to add or subtract form my inventory to fulfill your needs.

I will support our Wednesday Night Scramble Event and hope to make it better than ever. We have Ladies' Day every Tuesday in June, July and August. I will hold some 'on course' clinics for anyone interested in rules, etiquette and instruction throughout the year. I have personal lesson plans for all parts of the game, from tee to green. Please call or come in to setup an appointment or to learn more about our programs and events.

There are pro-ams throughout the season. I will be looking for players of all abilities with valid handicaps to attend with me. These events are a lot of fun, and you can use your handicap. See me in the pro shop for more details.

I hope to get a chance to play some golf with everyone in the club. I thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to be your golf professional and will do everything I can to make your time at the Norfolk Country Club enjoyable!

Wednesday Night Scramble at The Norfolk Country Club

Do you like to have fun? Do you like to play golf? Can you get to the Club by 5 p.m. on Wednesday night?

Sign up for the Wednesday Night Scramble!

Every Wednesday night a group of golfers meets at the pro shop for a relaxed nine hole scramble. It makes no difference if you are young or "seasoned", a duffer or an ace, you are welcome and you will have a great time. Rules? The only rule is "Have Fun!" After nine holes the group congregates on the porch to eat, drink and swap lies about their round.

Buzz will include your name in her list and every week she will send you an e-mail reminder to sign up. After that, just let Buzz know by noon on Wednesday if you plan to play and if you would like to stay for a sandwich. That's it! Arrive by five and play golf with old friends or meet new friends, either way you'll have a good time!
